t3secure – How secure is your TYPO3?

As upgrading TYPO3 is often not a quick job, nearly 30 % of TYPO3 instances are based on outdated or deprecated TYPO3 versions. Upgrading and updating would lower the risk of threads. But how do we get folks to pay TYPO3 developers to update their old instances?
As a result, the team of MÜNSMEDIA, a Magdeburg (Germany) based web development company, developed t3secure.de. Malte Müns (CTO) will explain how the TYPO3 version is detected only based on publicly available files and how the result could help the TYPO3 community to get users into action regarding their outdated TYPO3.
He will share insights from his study performed in February 2022 on the work of German, Swiss, and Austrian TYPO3 agencies and how often the websites they built for customers are affected by security issues.
